My 100% het pied male is at 831 grams and my 100% het pied female is at 1275 grams, are these suitable sizes for breeding? I am pretty sure that the male is large enough, but I am a little concerned about the female. Thanks for your time

Depends somewhat on her length/proportions, but in most cases I'd say 1275 should be adequate. I've had females that size drop good 5-7 egg clutches....

We have a few 07 female that are in the 1250-1350 range that are being breed this year. Had a few 06's in the same boat last year. Worked out pretty good. The girls that got gravid layed 4-7 eggs. One slug out but she never laid cool. Good luck. Jeff

Do you know when she hatched? From what I've heard, a female that is only about 18 months old might lay eggs but it will probably be a small clutch. Also she might not lay next year.

Like Brad said, the female's girth is important. If she is long and skinny then she isn't ready yet.

Thanks for all your info so far...She is definitely not long and skinny, she has some really nice girth. I am fairly confident to breed her, but would never want to jeopardize the health of either snake involved....Thanks for your time
