H.R. 669? I am not very familiar with this.
Is this the bill attempting to stop the ownership of snakes?

As I stated before, this is very bad news, folks. And now it has the support of Barney Frank, one of the most powerful legislators on Capitol Hill. I believe this bill will pass in some form (at least the supporters seem VERY serious about its passage, and they are the ones who hold all the power at the moment!), and if we don't get some of its more radical provisions amended it could well be the end of our hobby.

Yes, in this case the sky really IS falling....

This could be very bad. It's no secret the state just cut an obscene land deal as a part of the everglades cover, I mean clean up . Making this latest effort look good is going to be a priority.

In January a group known as the Everglades Coalition held their annual conference in Miami. EVERYBODY was there. Except representation for the exotic animal trade. Governor Crist and senator Bill Nelson gave key note speeches Nelson was also involved in panel discussion. Senators , Congressmen , environmental agency executives and many representatives from anti ownership supporters . The list is to long ....... I'm sure that bill got good push.
