Got my New Babies

RedQuake Sep 10, 2003 07:33 PM

I picked up my babies today.......i'm so excited

I don't have pics yet but i'll post as soon as i can

I got: 1.1 blizzards, 0.1 patternelss, 0.1 reduced pattern,
0.1 hypo and 0.1 tremper albino. The male blizzard might also be het for albino All of them are in their own tanks (minus the patternless and hypo.....those two are in a split 20gal, soon i'll move them to my 40gal after i split that).

They are all doing very well. The albino was quick to eat up some mealworms. The others are all curled up sleeping in their hides. All of them were out walking around checking out their new homes shortly after i got them in there.

I'm soooooooooooooooooooooo excited, i feel like a new mom.

Just had to share

HEHEHE for a second there i thought i was really in some trouble I totally forgot to get a pic of them when they were all in the travel containers. I was planning to but after the HELLISH drive i had coming home i just ended up putting them in their tanks. There was construction EVERYWHERE and i was held in traffic for 30 min at a time more than 3 times at least. They are all stressed a bit, who can blame them after a 2 hour bumpy drive home, but so far all look good. I think the albino got bumped around a bit to much cause its walking around but won't put all of its weight on its foot, more like on the side. It has eaten (RIGHT FROM MY HAND) and i've put calcium drops in its water as well as a dish of calcium. I'm hoping the others clue in that their mealworms are in the dish...

Sorry for rambling so much....... hehehe. I'll get pics as soon as i can

Thankyou
I'm pretty sure i'm calling the male blizzard Bronx, from the cartoon Gargoyles hehehe. I have a list for the girls but i'm trying to see if they suit the name. Giving them a name would be easier to describe instead of using their morph. As for pics, i'll get out the camera tomorrow and go at it hehehe. I have 3 rolls of 24 so i'm bound to get some good shots. The reduced pattern female was the largest of the group and i put her in my 36" tank. She's already been from one end to the other checking it all out and crawling over everything. I think she'll be the hardest to get a pic of since she has the most room to run and hide, PLUS the tank is on top of my computer desk and i need a step stool to get to the door of the tank LOL.

I will get the film developed tomorrow and hopefully post tomorrow night

*i felt like someone was watching me......i look over to one tank and there sits the hypo staring at me hehehehehe* shes checking out the mealworm bowl WOOHOO

Red (((excited beyond description hehehe)))

Gargoyles! I remember that show! It used to be my favorite show, but then it got kind of weird (like most tv shows do).

and don't forget the smurfs, seseme street (BEFORE Elmo), Mr. Rogers Neighbourhood, Mr Dressup......man i feel old. I think i still have a Thundercats colouring book and when i saw my friend the other day one of her kids had a toy from the show Dinasaur.
Silverhawks was one of my favs cause of the astronomy lesson at the end. So many names to choose from....this is hard!
Monsters Inc and Ice Age are two of my favourite movies so i might go with some names from there
It didn't take long for the patternless to figure out bowl=food
I've got solid coloured bowls so i'm going to go look for the shallow, clear bead containers that were mentioned in another post.

At 4am this morning i was up (still sick POUT) and instead of going back to bed i was checking on all of my babies hehehe.

If anyone has any good names for the morphs i've described by all means let me know

Haha, I do that too. If I get up in the middle of the night to get a drink or go to the restroom, I always stop and peek at my leos.

I think Bambie would be such a cute name for a little girl leo.
