Check out PIJAC's website and please follow their advice. PIJAC understands this process as well as anyone and they will give very detailed advice on when and how to effectively fight this bill. If you have not already joined, you should. It's just a few bucks and if everybody in the herp community joined it will make us a much stronger force to deal with. These bills are ridiculous and will cause much more harm than good.

I also urge you guys to join USARK! We need as much representation as possible in DC.

Very nice, thanks for the link. The response was well done, but I didn't see any reference to the blatantly bogus "evidence" (ie, the USGS global warming/python expansion "study" being used by the bill supporters. In that specific case, the bill supporters are using that as evidence, they're not just asking the bill opponents to "prove a negative." IMO, bogus science needs to be aggressively attacked, especially given our weak position in this situation. And remember, Obama is all about bringing back science.... (yeah, right.)

PIJAC addressed the USGS and other ridiculous science last year with HR 6311 and
most certainly are and will address it once again in this instance of HR669.
