I would say it is in the right forum for two reasons:

1-Sunglow is a morph combination, not specific to Boas, meaning a hypo to an albino will give you dh sunglows, for boas and balls.
2-The post asked about a pricing structure, and the prices for Boas is already set.

The reason I asked is because I didn't even know that double hets for ghost X albino had been produced, let alone that they were mature enough to breed. Also, I thought Jeff wanted to know what next year's prices would be on the boas (even though he said this year). While the price for this year's sunglow boas may be already set, they could always drop next year.

If he was talking boas, I would think he would have asked if anyone was going to be producing sunglows, not produce "A" sunglow, as in one, as in small chance of getting any.

I could have been talking about corns for all you know.

And there are Pastels het for albino. Lots actually. I mean, do you think you KNEW that NERD was gonna produce a ghost-spider? No. Lots of people are doing things without telling everyone else.

And my question still stands.

Did you mean pastel albinos or hypo albinos? The name sunglow means hypo albino in boas, so I figured you meant hypo and albino.

If you were asking about pastel albinos, it would be logical to expect one of those this year. Co-dom X recessive traits are really easy to make quickly. You don't have to wait until the females mature.

I mean, hypo is reduced black so if you reduce the black, and then eliminate the black, it will still just look like an albino. The only reason hypo-albino boas are cool is because of the SALMON, NOT the hypo gene.

I always figured that the Sunglow Ball would be a Pastel Albino, and the hypo-albino would just be a Hybino.

I would have been more inclined to agree that a hypo x albino ball might not be anything all that attractive, HOWEVER, the same COULD have been said about a hypo x caramel albino, how they look similar now, nothing cool will come from that cross etc. I think an albino x hypo ball might be cool, maybe not as cool as the caramel glow, but cool none the less. Plus, a hypoalbino male will be a nice breeder, can breed albinos and ghost females

The pic is of my female ghost, that may be bred to an albino one day. She is 1550 grams, will be bred for the first time this year.
