Just happened upon these pictures. Snakes really can take advantage of opportunity by consuming huge meals. Primitive, maybe. Effecient, definitely.

Yeah I have seen black rats about that size munching on rabbits in the wild in the Western NC mts and on the eastern shore of the Chesapeak Bay in MD. They certainly do love baby rabbits!
