500 gram male hatched from Captive hatched male to Pastel female. Sire is currently breeding some girls. This guy will have a go with a few in March. I hope to find out a little of what is going on with them.

He's gorgeous... one of the brightest, prettiest pastels I have ever seen. He looks like a super, and I love how faded gray/white his black spots are. I hope you've got something there!

Cheers!

Thats a great looking Fire Pastel.
Fire??? I would have guessed it was a super pastel.
Its a Fire Pastel. One of the cleanest Fire Pastels I have seen.
It will be a fire pastel only if/when Bill produces a black eyed lucy with it and it's compatible with exsisting fire, otherwise it's possibly something else, but for right now it's a dinker pastel, and a damn fine one, one of the cleanest and prettiest pastel x's i've seen. Congrats are already in order for you Bill, but can't wait to see how that will continue to "pans out" for you. Best of luck

... just yet. lol
Thanks for the compliments everyone. For some reason my photos don't ever transfer/look "right"on kingsnake forum. They are the proper size. For those who would like a very accurate look at this combo and his daddy you will find them on BP.net in my photo album.
Eric Davies has seen the founding male and is certain he will make a Black Eyed Lucy. He also suspects that there might be 2 genes in the mix -- he mentioned Axanthic. Others think possibly Yellow Belly. I have no idea to be honest. The sire is VERY light almost "harsh" at first glance.
I hesitate to postulate what he is, or is not, based on one clutch. The sire is covering 7 females currently who are all building nicely. I am going to give him a nice month break and then try to pair him with 3-4 morphs the 2nd half of the season - if he seems up to it.
I am going to start paring this boy in a couple weeks. Most young males seem to breed really well or NOT AT ALL!!! I should know whether he is up to it fairly soon. Any project in which the animals keep getting BETTER as they grow, is an exciting one for sure!! I will keep you posted in breeding results. Thanks again for everyone's interest.
