refused meal

zpops Feb 15, 2009 09:19 PM

i know on this forum many feel it is best to keep snakes active thru winter, but i live in an apartment and getting ideal temps is somewhat difficult. anyway, my king refused food all winter. a few weeks ago it came out of hiding and ate a few pinkies. after getting his appetite up with pinkies, it took down a large hopper. like 4 or 5 days after that it refused a hopper, and again today it did the same. i havent changed anything with the conditions in the tank. any suggestions or ideas on why it would be refusing? thanks in advance for the feedback.

nevermind. after looking like it wasn't gonna eat after a few hours it wolfed it down after a braining.

Why are you feeding pinkies to a snake with that kind of size?

I bet you could feed him adult mice.

I agree, offer it some adult mice and see if it can chug 'em.
