Drilling holes in a boaphile or AP rack?

mingdurga Feb 16, 2009 12:11 PM

Anyone have issues with drilling holes in a 1/4" Boaphile or the 1/2" AP rack? Making holes in tubs alone won't do it for circulation needed.

Thanks,

Mike

Drilling holes in the material would be no problem. Any reason why you need the added circulation? Drilling holes into the rack itself, for the purpose of increasing circulation, is going to directly effect its ability to maintain temps. I can't think of any reason why a sufficient number of holes in the tubs wouldn't provide enough ventilation.

Put enough holes into the tub and it will provide plenty of circulation, much more efficiently then adding holes in the rack itself.

As they say on "CSI" a through and through is the best. I don't want air traveling "around" inside the box before it exits.
I just feel better having "fresh" air moving around.

Appreciate the input.
