What kind of Hinge-backs are they? There are 4 species in the Genus. Two are Rain forest animals, two are plains. Obviously, husbandry will be different for each group. And there isn't a whole lot of info on them, really. Most are still imports..

Sincerely,
Matthew

i was told that these are forest hingebacks. i can get you a pic soon. the woman that i got them from said that she bought them as babies, she took them to get dewormed and they have been geat ever since. ive noticed that every 20 min. the male is mounting the female is he just shooting blanks? can i tell if the female becomes gravid and what should i do.

You should confer with the person who you got them from. Seriously, breeding hinge-backs is pretty rare, most are imports.
However, there is an issue of Reptiles about the care & breeing of K. erosa ( Forest Hinge-backs). Give me a day to go back through my back issues.
Incidentally, how do you have them set up?

Sincerely,
Matthew

right now i have them set up just like you would a red foot or yellow foot. high humidity, area to soak and they are on a bark substrate.

That is how I have mine, too.
Unfortunately, there has been a family emergency today so I didn't have time to go back through my Retiles Mag collection ( it covers years!). Sorry about that. I cannot even stay on the Net long tonight either..
