I am placing my balls together and I was wondering if it is better to place male into female rack or female into male rack? Does it make a difference? Thanks for your time

This is my first year, and I was wondering the same thing. I introduced my 2 males into the females bin. It has worked just fine since Nov. Good luck, but hopefully someone can give some insight as to witch is better and why.

Hey guys, I've been breeding for a few years and I always put the males into the females cages because the female feels alot more comfortable in her own cage. Its less stressful on the female at this time of year. I put the male in the females cage for 2 to 3 days, unless I see copulation between them then I take the male out right after. I keep the male out for about 4 days, unless he's in shed or I'm tring to feed him. This gives him a nice break to rest!!! You can kill a male ball python by breeding him to much! Or he can get a respiatory infection due to stress!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK AND HAVE A GREAT SEASON.......BOB

I would have to agree and say put the males in the females' cage. If I seem to be having no luck after a decent amount of attempts (with breaks for the male in between), I'll put the female in the male's cage. I will only stick with this if it works though; I'd prefer to keep the female in her own tub so I can eliminate as much stress as possible for her.

I have done it both ways , it depends on the snake . Some are more aggressive breeders than others , the one that is the most aggressive breeder I move to the others cage , If they are both about the same I move the male . David
