I got a baby leopard gecko a week ago and the past couple of days he has been vomiting up crickets a few hours after eating them. He will start opening his mouth very wide, make a squeaking noise, and then violently shake his head until the cricket is out. The crickets are never fully digested. Does anyone have any advice as to how to address this problem?

He was on sand in the petstore but I've got him on "reptile carpet" and I do not believe he's impacted. My tank's temperature is around 80F. Could it be that this is too low for him to properly digest the insects?

Other than the vomiting, he seems to be healthy. He is active, drinks regularly, had a successful shed two days ago, and eagerly hunts. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
