i found my snake traped in a wad of DUCT TAPE last night

last night i got home and disided to feed my kingsnakes i look in one of there cage. it wasent there. then i looked on the lid in a ball of duct tape is my kingsnake. i used the duct tape to pach a hole in the mesh. it took me about a hour to remove the snake from the duct tape. it removed all the outer skales from him but luckly for him and me it didnt actuly remove the skale just the outer layer. i also have a question is there somthing that i should do so it dousnt get infected. im not to woried about it getting infected becouls no bloud vestles are shouing it is just paches of not shinny skales.

Next time if this ever does happen I recommend using vegetable oil to remove the snake from any tape. Then rinse snake with mild soap and water to remove the oil.
I would keep the wound(s)cleaned with peroxide and put some triple antibacterial ointment on it(them).

i used water to losen the tape it helped some but the duct tape was so atached to the scales that i dont think oil would have helped but if it happens agein wich i will try to make sure i dousnt i will try that

everytime i look in his cage he is in the water dish. should i be conserned or just let him be. maby i should take out the water dish? any help will be welcome

Don't let him soak continuously. In fact I would remove the water dish and just offer it once or twice a day. I just lost a milksnake to blister disease because she soaked for like a week straight. She died within a week of me noticing the blisters. Just do what the other post said and keep it clean with peroxide and antibacterial cream.
