24 years ago today...

boaphile Feb 17, 2009 07:45 PM

Congratulate me. Today is 24 years, to the day, that Big Momma and Big Daddy made me a Boa Daddy for the first time! My collection grew from four Boas to 20 in about half an hour and I haven't looked back!

Here I am with that original pair!

I thought the punch line was going to be "thinned"

Seriously, I for one am glad there is a "Boaphile"!!!

Jeff has pioneered many aspects of this hobby and has been willing to share his knowledge, shortening the learning curve for those that follow. And done much of it with humor. I know I have learned a lot from him!!!

Thanks Jeff!! Or as your snakes call you "old Baldy"

Jeff:

Congratulations on a fantastic 24 years!!!!!!

I will always remember watching your videos on breeding boas and listening to you as you narated them. The first albino boas I ever saw were the ones your video showed being born. It was fun hearing the excitment in your voice as you talked to the viewers.

Thank you for your relentless focus, energy and dedication you have given to me and to this community.

Myself and the rest of the boa community will always be indebted to you.

Brian

Jeff, I told you were the original boa man!!!!

AbsoluteApril Feb 18, 2009 06:08 PM

Congrats, that is wonderful milestone Jeff! Just think, next year, you'll have been breeding boas for a quarter of a century. whooo!

Through the 10 years I've been keeping boas I am very thankful for your part of the boa constrictor manual, the wonderful reptiles breeding article you wrote and the boa videos which I own on VHS (at least I still have a VCR to watch them!), not to mention the caging! *Thank You!* and congrats on the past 24 years of success!
