He has the most of his color of a normal beardie but does have lots of good extras past a normal bearide. The oranges on the sides of his face are very rich and nice. Also his patterns down his back are very vivid and nice. Very nice lookin dragon.
He/She is more than old enough to sex. There's lots of info on KS about how to sex them.
He is about to shed so just looks gray. you should see a lot more color and pattern after he sheds.
It's hard to say for sure, but it looks like there might be some nice color there. Take good care of him/her, make sure you have good lighting and a proper hot spot, and I think he will have some decent color.

Looks like a normal to me. It does have some yellows but most bearded dragons these days have a little yellow in their bloodlines now. Not all of them, but many do. Without knowing what the parents or siblings look like its just guess work.
As for sexing, pretty much can accurately sex any dragon over 6 months of age, or 10". I know some can sex them much younger/smaller but when so small, its hard to tell for those who have not done it before and even the experts can't be 100% when the dragon is under 8" head to tail tip.
best way to see pictures of how to sex, is just google 'sexing bearded dragons' and check the first several results. You can also just click on 'images' and you will find the pictures faster.

It's hard to say what a "normal" is. In the wild there is color variations between dragons. I have what most people would call a true normal. He is just dull gray and has little definition between light areas and darker areas.
Yours has a yellow head with a little orange. Yours has a lot of definition between the white and gray on his back. He would maybe be better described as a "cross normal".
