blackmamba1 Feb 20, 2009 09:26 AM

I have a pair of corns that I would like to keep in a sterilite container. But i have never kept any of my snakes in this setup so i need a lot of help. I have 2 sterilite containers that are 20 in. long, 14 in. wide and 6 in. tall. will these work. The corns are about 1 ft. long.

Sure, but I imagine they would work better in a rack.

Define safe.

No light is required.

As an example I had boas in sweater boxes in my Dorm closet with 12" of 4" heat tape taped to the bottom of the box. Obvioucly a thermostat should be used although at the timen I didn't.

Typically temps for snakes is well below dangers for plastics. However when heat tape of heat pads are used where air can't ciculate they can get very hot in those isolated conditions. Assuming there is a gap and a thermostat is used. Safe they will be.

That depends on what you want out of the rack. I'd post a new thread asking about rack construction around the tub you have.

This will draw more attention than this thread and also seperate the topic.

Easiest way is probably pre-cut melamine shelves. Perhaps someone will link to a suite with directions as thre are tons of how to's out there.

Cheers
