D. leucomelas are seasonal breeders, so you can't really simulate their season to make them breed year-round with much success. Their season, interestingly enough, varies as per your location. On the East Coast we had them breeding early spring. When that time came, as with all dart frogs, increase food and spraying. Sometimes they won't lay the first season, but they are not difficult frogs at all to reproduce.
Best,

Mine started in early May and are still laying clutchs every 2 weeks or so. My first two clutchs were bad but after that, the've been like clock work. How old are they ? My male was about 9 months when he started calling, 18 months when he started breeding and my female was about a year when she started showing interest. I've read that a 2 month drying out period, mist a couple times a week, keep humidity at 70-80 %, then start feeding heavy and mist 2-3 times a day can stimulate breeding but I've also heard they seem to start in the spring with no change misting. Mine started on their own, I have 1.2 in the tank.

Im not sure which one is the male. So i can only guess the age around 10-14 months old. My leuc calls like once every 2 weeks or so which is odd. My parents always tell me they can hear it call but since i am home like 10 hrs a day only, 8 of which i am sleeping i never heard anthing. My dad said he heard one of them calling at 4am when there was a huge thunderstorm, but i thought it was impossible since the oldest was only 6 months. I never believed them until a few days ago when i was playing with the new azureus. I heard one called and i ran to the tank to see them both staring back at me doing nothing.

Jason, the males will start calling sporadically at about 7 months. You probably won't get any action until next spring, they usually don't start breeding until they are about 1 1/2 yrs old. They usually call in the early morning. When there ready to mate, he'll call continuously and the female will right behind him stroking his back. If you start misting about a 1/2 hr after the lights go out and again in the morning for a couple days you'll probably hear him more.
