Reproducing in the Wild

mbm95 Feb 20, 2009 07:04 PM

Okay, so there are several people saying that their carpets are going to have eggs soon and that made me think of this. Here in the Western Hemisphere it will be spring in about a month, but in Australia and New Guinia, it will be fall. This is probably a stupid question, but how do the snakes know it is time to breed? Is it completely the breeder's job to simulate the correct season change? If thats the case, then couldn't you breed them when ever you wanted?

Hence why we cool them.....

Yes we can breed them whenever we want and yes we do breed them whenever we want.....Weather in local areas makes it easier at certain times.

You ever decide on an irian or a jungle ?

Some of the tropic animals never much of a temp change in their environment, but they DO have a rainy season and atmospherical pressure changes according to the season.
