Hey I got a new Dwarf caiman lest tuesday so like 3 full days. But he don't seems to be eating anything. He is at 85' but dont seem to want to eat. but he is full of power whan i go to pick him up. Is it becouse he is new or what..

It can take awhile he is stressed. I would leave him alone for awhile and make sure he can hide to feel safe and he should be eating in no time. Also dont forget they are nocturnal my spectacle would not eat for awhile unless I put the food on the land and just left it there over night he ate it when it was dark and no one could see him.

thanks for the info i gone out of the room with ligths off but the infrared heat lamp is on thats it. do you think i need to turn it off?

Depends on the room temp.... if you even need it.. I dont use one personally but the room is warm enough and the water is kept warm but that shouldnt stop him from eating the main thing with mine is if I am in the room... Good luck just give him time

Hello all,
He got a pink tonight. I had to keep getting him to bit at him and then he holded it for sometime.It was a pre killed. I walked out 5mints letter it was gone. =) Now lets all hope he starts to eat up more.... I really love this guy and don't think I can deal with him passing on me.

Glad to hear he ate something.... sometimes they are just shy especially when they are small... think of it in the wild they have to hide because everything wants to eat them lol... my spectacle is around two feet and is just starting to eat from tongs a little....

Ya I need to really work with him to eat the pinke. i have to keep moveing the picker for him to get mad and take it and i go oit of the room and come back its go. 2 pinkes in 2 days. =)
