Start of a swell...(pic's) opinions...

Joel_Thomas Feb 21, 2009 02:14 PM

Seems kind of strange this girl started to look like she is swelling a little too close to the tail. I have never seen this before. In the past if there was an ovulation it seemed to start further up the body usually a little past mid body.

Here are some pic's that show her sides seem to be "pancaking" and there is scale seperation in that area. Any opinions appreciated.

Thanks
Joel

Probably a pre-ovulation swell.

Keep that boy working.

Oh yeah he is still in there but not courting at the moment.

Thanks, I have never seen this swell in this area, of courese my experience producing B.C.C. is limited to two litters six years ago and I missed both those ovulations.

but you never know. A good friend of mine Rob Tudehope told me the best thing to do during this time (breeding season) is to find some other hobbies. That way we aren't so fixated on every little thing. I haven't been able to find much else to distract me from checking my boa room all the time.

Good advice Andy, but I am like you I check all the time even throughout the year, it's just more interesting during the breeding/birthing season.

fingers are crossed.
