stock tank question...

I have a chance to get a 6 foot round stock tank to house a small gator in and I was wondering of anyone has built a lid for one that can be secured? I need the top to be people proof at night when I am not here. It would be open to the sun in the day time. Any ideas or pictures are appreciated. I figure someone out there has done this before!
