Quick question......

Snakey Sep 10, 2003 11:42 PM

I have forgotten what if anything was said about males but I on;y used the one male due to that is all I needed to supply the group.

My question is, if I switch a male from where babies are born will he if returned kill the babies like the all unforgiving mice?
Or will he do fien and shouldn;t pose much of a risk....

If we're talking rats..he should do fine... I do that quite often when I want the females to take a week or 2 to nurse their pups before I let them get pregnant again...

Cool. Thanks.....I had another have 6 babies and is half the size of this big ol' girl. Well I check today and she killed them all. I am not worried. It isn't like those crazy mice. I will wait for all of them to get going and to start producing. They seem to be doing fine though. The only prob is after I finish writing this I have to get in there and clean up the cages as it stinks like dead cadavers!!!!

Thank's for the advice. Looks like I gotta what for next months on them and hope for the best on the fatty ones. I plan on taking the babies from the next mother and giving them to the mom that is raising the two pretty good.
Then when they have batch number 2 they should be on their way.

Thanks
