Who can give me a hand??

rantcaseyisgod Feb 22, 2009 05:43 PM

I'm curious to find people who are working on Super Ball projects (blood python x ball python), but so far have only found Steve Roussis. Who else has been successful in achieving this hybrid?

Thanks

Only a very few......some people in this forum become fighting mad when you talk about this kind of stuff.

Yeah, or so I've caught slight wind of in my efforts to find more breeders. Something about being able to breed a hybrid back to either species and selling them as 'pures' or some odd. Then I suppose people could get touchy about the idea of crossing two species.

But I'm not in it for an ethical debate. I'm sure curious to find more breeders whom I may be able to talk to about a Super Ball.

I like them.....but that's my opinion. I say go for it if you want to. I understand the whole "keeping it pure" attitude but I also think the hybrids are neat. Just let whoever you sell or give them to know what they are so they don't think it's a possible "new" morph. Because what would suck is having that animal bred back into the rest of the population and clouding the gene pool with piss genes lol. Later we have 8-10 foot balls and that's not the way the animal is meant to be. Of course the animal isn't meant to be albino, pastel, or spider in the wild either. To each his own I guess. But I will say this, there is a hybrid forum on here also you can use.

Yeah, I understand the consequences of hybrid breeding, by which I am not a liar (and happen to be a thorough person) and wouldn't mislead people on what they are buying. I originally didn't expect there to be people who would have such rotten motives, but then again I also happen to be a victim of good faith (sometimes).

However, thank you for informing me on the Hybrids forum. I tend to forget that this website has a forum for practically everything.
