and hope for a simple answer!
Buncha wise guys!
Feed the female very well and the male as well as possible while he's wearing ruts around his cage.
She'll shed and ovulate, you may feel bulges in the latter 1/3 of her body and she's ready then. Without bulges, pair them off every 5-10 days and if she's receptive, they'll breed. If there's a lot of thrashing after a couple hours of introduction, try another day. They may not actually breed until June or so but I usually start the introductions earlier.
Her fresh shed will amuse the male for several hours but males don't seem to need 'arousing' -- it's the females that dictate the rules of this game.
Your male should refuse to feed for several weeks or take only fuzzy sized mice every couple weeks.
If you think the Barry White music helps, try it, but keep her well fed too.
Good luck! Jeff

If Patrick Henry thought that taxation without representation was bad, he should see it with representation.

My male is about fourteen inches, my female is about 16. I think i saw them mating, I put them in a bare cage to see if they would, and their tails wrapped around each other and their cloacas were together.
ps, ones a tangerine ones just normal and i bought them as a breeder pair.
Oh goodness, she's way too small for a breeding hondo. Breeding sized hondos (3-4 years) are typically in the 4 and 5 foot range.
Can you post a pic or two of the pair? I suspect they're not hondos at all.......

If you cycled your animals correctly, it's useful to keep in mind that Hondurans often breed later in the year than corn, king and pine snakes. Usually a female needs to shed 2 or 3 times after winter cycling before she'll be receptive to breeding.
