Last week, I was at Bird Island in Antigua. We found this snake pictured below and it reminded me of the size, movement, and body shape of a rosy boa with the face of a Solomon Island ground boa. The snake was very calm when it was held and as he was released, he moved into the vegitation and blended perfectly. I was suprised to find out it was an Antiguan Racer which was on the endangered list (it is making a comeback in numbers which I believe is over a 100 or so). It's always great to observe snakes in their natural habitat.
