Seems like the forum has been slow lately, thought I'd post some pics.

Thanks,
Ed

Thought this was neat how the light reflected/refracted off of his dorsal scales...

What kind of snake is the first one?

It's an anery or hypo-erythristic rainbow boa...

Ok let's just call it an Argentinian Rainbow boa.

Thanks,
Ed

I see... I was just wondering cause that colouration is the closest I've seen to what my gf's snake has (which is supposedly a Venezuelan Rainbow). The thing that looks really different is the head. But it could just be the angle I guess.

Interesting. Do you have pics? Venezuala is pretty far from Argentina, so I'm assuming alvarezi (Argentinians) are not found in Venezuela. So I think there are a couple likely possibilities:

1) Your gf has an Argentinian RB but the seller mis-named it.
2) Your gf has a young Columbian RB. How old/big is her snake?

Please post some some pics!

Thanks,
Ed

Unfortunately I dont have any pics right now, but the seller was pretty iffy on her background, didn't even know exactly how old she was. They think she is 3 years old, and she's about 3.5'-4' long. Her colouration is mixture of dark and light browns and i know she doesn't have any crescent or circular patterns like brbs. I'll see if I can post some pics this weekend.
