Hello I am new to the breeding scene and am wondering how I should introduce my male and female sinaloans. Will they try to kill each other like other kings.
Most kings don't kill each other. There wouldn't be much king snake reproduction if they did. In my experience Sinaloans are late breeders and probably won't mate for a few months. It doesn't much matter if you introduce the male to the female or vice versa.
When introduced, if the male starts pursuing the female, there's a good chance that she's ready to breed. I leave my snake pairs togather for three days and then seperate them for a few days before another three days togather. I continue this rotation until eventually it becomes apparent that the female is gravid, and then I discontinue introductions and wait for eggs.
