elementary water question

tattooedsnake13 Feb 26, 2009 04:01 PM

As I was cleaning my BP rack and filling water bowls, I thought of something that never dawned on me. When you clean and refill water bowls, what is the temp of the water you put back in the cage? I dont mean actual degrees, but is it cold water or lukewarm? I have always given cold because I figure with the heat it would warm up to the room temp anyway. Any thoughts?

I use well water, probably 53 degrees and colder...(winter it could be colder than Earth's 53)...
the smell of fresh water brings snakes to it for a fresh drink...
they smell it unlike stale warm water..just like we smell a nice cold glass of water...
balls sticking their heads into the cold water never seemed to bother them....
