I now use carpet on all my adult dragons.....
I find it is easier to have two pieces in their cages instead of just one huge piece.
If it is a "normal" poo, I pick it up with a paper towel and then scrub the poop area with another paper towel moistened with a non harmful cleaning solution. I then remove them once a week and wash them.
If it is a messy poo, I simply remove the entire piece, replace it with another and take the dirty one outside. I spray it down with cleaner and spray it with the hose untill clean. I then let them dry in the sun and bring them inside later in the day.
It is so much easier if you have several pieces on hand ... it makes switching them out and cleaning so much quicker and easier.
>>When it says "washable", how do you clean it? Do you just scoop up the poo and wipe the area with a damp cloth or pull it right out and wash it good? I wouldn't want to be pulling everything out all the time just to wash the carpet when I could just scoop the poo out of the sand and give it a good cleaning once a month.

>>Also my tank is 48x18 and the biggest carpet it 48x13. Is it possible to cut the second piece of carpet to fit the whole tank?
