HISPANOLAN VINE BOA OVULATING

TOM_CRUTCHFIELD Feb 27, 2009 06:58 PM

Here's a RARE pic of Jay Wagner's female Epicrates gracilis ovulating. These are a little know arboreal Boa endemic to Haiti and the D.R. Adult size is about 3' long and the diet Anoles. I've bred these to f-3 generations in the past. Neonates are bright orange in color. In my opinion these are the most unique Boas that exist today and most herpers don't even know they exist. I have a lone male and Jay sent me his female last year on loan. It appears that our loan will come to fruition this year. If anyone out there has any of these I'd be interested to know...thanks

Look great, Tom, shaping up to be an exciting year.

Pic of 1.1 bahamas boas taken this morning...he's been courting this female very heavily for the last week, although I'm not 100% certain that they have copulated yet.

Tom/Ryan,
Looks like it will be a very good year for the West Indian Boas. Congrats to you both.
