To nest box or not to nest box!

stevebp Mar 03, 2009 09:52 PM

I have a couple of females that are going to lay soon and would like some input on if i should put a nest box in with them or not. I'm worried about her laying the eggs on the hot side of the cage while im at work. Any info is greatly apprieciated.
Thanks'

I always put a box of damp sphagnum in the cage! They almost always use it! They're also less likely to lay in the water bowl and the eggs won't adhere to the bottom of the cage! You can also pick up the whole box w/her in it, if need be and set it somewhere that's easy to work at! Good Luck!
