Hey Guys, don't post much, but read about everything thread. Wanted to see if any of you could be good enough to share any info. on lodging in the area of Black Gap.

Few friends of mine want to venture out that way this year. Thoughts on any place to rest your head? thanks......

If you don't mind a little longer drive, we really like the cabins at the Marathon Motel-and good herping between there and Black Gap as well!

There are plenty of good camping sites along the road also.

Ken, You can also stay at Heath Canyon right at the river. Andy Curry owns the place and he has some facilities there. You can also collect on his property if you stay there. I have a phone number if you want it. I have done this before, and I know Dan Johnson has too and has caught a few alterna out there, but it's a alot of work. That is if you plan on collecting or looking for alterna.

Wayne,
Andy lives in El Paso now and Heath Canyon is closed to the public. Been that way for several years.

Andy Curry is retired and no longer rents facilities. I found this out the year before last.
