Paul Bodnar Mar 05, 2009 12:00 PM

Greetings All,

I am pleased to announce the CB Yellow Tailed Cribo's (adults were bred by Dean A.) laid 17 eggs yesterday on 3/4/09, all eggs look good except one. They will be incubated at 77-78f and the substrate I will try is Hatchrite.

The male is about 7 1/2 feet in length while the female is about 6 foot long.

Truly,

Congratulations, Paul. What does "Hatchright" consist of? Thanks, Steve Fuller

Hello Steve,

Nice to hear from you.

Hatchrite is basically like perlite with the proper portion of water pre-added into the substrate. Water vapor is released over a three month period. A google search will yield more detailed information about how it works.

This clutch of Yellow Tailed Cribo eggs is the first time I have ever used hatchrite, so it is a bit of an experiment.

Nice going Paul! That's a very good number for a first clutch, and your adults look nice and healthy.

Now the hard part begins, waiting for the eggs to hatch! LOL
