. 100% right answer? Not sure. But, I do not think it is required. I do not do anything to intentionally drop temperatures at night year roud. My snake room does get a little cooler at night and I think this probably causes slightly cooler temperatures in the cages. The hiding places in my cages are the warmest places and when the snakes are out moving at night in the rest of the cage area they drop a few degrees in temperature.
