night drop??

Dan_Binderup Sep 11, 2003 11:51 AM

hey everyone

I would like to hear about pro and con for night drop at Brazilian rainbow's.
I have a seven year old pair that I want to breed this season. should I give them a night drop outside breeding period? or should I only drop the temp. when breeding attempt?
And when the day comes, how low should I allow the temp. to fall (day and night)
hope some of you guys can help me.

Best Regards

Dan,
. 100% right answer? Not sure. But, I do not think it is required. I do not do anything to intentionally drop temperatures at night year roud. My snake room does get a little cooler at night and I think this probably causes slightly cooler temperatures in the cages. The hiding places in my cages are the warmest places and when the snakes are out moving at night in the rest of the cage area they drop a few degrees in temperature.
