URGENT HELP REQUIRED!!!

CarlJoel Mar 08, 2009 07:32 AM

Sorry for the melodramatic entrance but this is urgent.

My son has two leopards, a male he has had about 2 years, this guy is lazy. He recently aquired a young and very agile and active female.

The bottom line is my wife left the tank with the round hole in the top open (something we can do regularly with him). The female has escaped a few questions I wish to ask.

Where would she go? Our house is centrally heated but this is not constantly on. Night time temp will be below 60f or 15c. This girl is young fit and well fed.
How long can she survive? We have no predatory other pets Cats etc. Can gecko's go into an hibernation mode if too cold?

Any help would obviously welcome. Thank you.

You're going to want to search in places that are dark or warm. She will instinctively make her way into areas like this. She's lost in a big world so she's going to want to hide and feel secure. You can also try drawing her out of hiding with food. Placing crickets or mealworms (or whatever you feed her) in the center of each room in a clear container is a good idea.

Thanks Patrick after an extensive search, she has been found alive and well in a dark dusty place. She appears to be in good health and spirits. As soon as she was back in the tank a cricket was taken, a good sign I would say.

No problem! I'm glad to hear she turned up okay.
