Power strip timers

beardiebabe823 Mar 08, 2009 10:39 AM

Hello I have a question...can anybody suggest a good power timer? I wanted to purchase the Zilla digital power timer but read many negative reviews about it. What timer would be my best bet? Thank you for your time : )

Just go to home depot and buy a timer and plug your serge protecter in it. You will save a ton of money and get the same results.

$12.00 bucks

a basic three prong plug heavy duty indoor timer from Home depot, Walmart or other department store is fine. I have used them for years...some do fail after awhile but out of ohh about ten or so I have bought over the last 10 years or so, I only had one die on me completely. One was making alot of noise but realized the cage was pressed against the front, interfering with the dial turning..but that was fixed by moving the cage an inch.

Thanks so much for the advice. I never even thought of Home Depot.

Oh if your looking for more stuff www.thebeanfarm.com has one for $15.00 but I would say to only buy there if you are going to buy more than just that so you don't get killed on shipping. I like to use them or www.bigappleherp.com as much as possible since they pay to advertise on this site which helps keep us able to have a site to hang on. Plus I can say both are very kind and friendly.
