leopards aren't growing

ytblazer Mar 08, 2009 10:07 PM

A friend has a couple of leopards probably about a year and a half old. They simply stopped growing. They didn't eat well for a while and the vet had him inject them with antibiotics a number of times --ugh. Too expensive and way too medical.

Anyway, they eat like fiends now -- various greens, grasses, opuntia, etc. They keep weighing in at 1.5 ounces.

Would this be parasites in your opinion? And, if so, is there a de-wormer or something that can be fed to them (please no feeding tubes)?

The vet should be able to check their feces for worms or other parasites. My redfoot had worms when I got her and they gave me some medicine that I had to feed her orally through a syringe for a few days and they went away pretty quick.
