Just a couple of pics.........

This is my new little one from the Daytona show. He is recovering well from the stress & that respratory infection. I had to use a nebulizer & antibotic injections.

Dfr has said a couple of times at least how strong anacondas are especially compared to other boids. I am seeing that even in this little one. The strength he uses to hold on and to go when he wants to go.

He is suprizingly good tempered and patient. There is much dogma surrounding these snakes. I am glad that most of it is just that.

` That is a colorful little Anaconda. He ought to make a beautiful adult, with lots of orange and yellow. If you think he's strong now, just wait.
` Nice pink Dumeril, too. Gad, a Woma. What did you do, win the lottery? lol
` Great pix, thanks.

I am really enjoying having him. I purposely got a male so as not to have a behemoth on my hands. I do realize he will be huge though.

He has more of an olive green to him than the others I saw and I like some of the lighter tones & yellow / oranges in him. I do however really like the deep green colored one's too. I just didn't see any that were that rich hunter green color.

This is my first experience with snakes other than Columbian boas and Burmese pythons. I am really enjoying the little Dumerils too but man that Woma is sweet. I have never seen a more gentle snake. Even my wife enjoys handling him and she is not a snake girl.

Some of our other critters are on my photo page. I love my monitors too. They are a whole different experience.

Later, Gene
