I finished my racks and I am going to start installing the heat tape. Can you buy aluminum tape locally or does it have to be bough online? I cant seem to find it here locally.

I pick all of mine up at Home Depot in the Insulation Department. It's usually between the sheets of insulation and the ducting.

OK I will check that out....last time i was there and asked about it they looked at me like i had two heads....then they ask what i needed it for....that is always a good conversation haha

You can also use painters tape if you can't find aluminum tape. You can find that at staples, walmart should have it to.

Home Depot and Lowes has it. It is whith all the other tape stuff and if you can't find it there you can almost always find it in the furnace and air conditioning ducting because that is what they use to tape off the joints.

it can be bought in the insulation dept of most hardware stores, it is cheaper than the same product sold in the heating duct departments
