Soaking

exoticball Mar 10, 2009 11:44 AM

I just got this female a deeper water dish that she can fully fit in and she hasn't seemed to leave it since, which is a few days. Do any of you guys have balls that like to soak like this?

I have looked over her and there is no sign of mites. She appears perfectly healthy, and cage temps and humidity are good. I think she my just like to soak.

Hi,

I have heard that some females before they ovulate will soak like this.

Good Luck,
Bill

maybe she is just feeling a little dehydrated.
All mine have enough room to soak, but have yet to see them do it, but one I had years ago that loved too.

maybe she is soaking up for an upcoming shed cycle...who knows??? I have a few that like to just hang in their water bowls as well...you can put her in a tub for a few days with pure white paper towels on the bottom and periodically check for mites or just remove her from the bowl under a bright strong light and inspect the bottom for mites as well if she has mites their will be some in the bowl almost guaranteed....just my 2cents hope it helps........joe
