timor monitors

I have a breeding pair of timor monitors and i'm wanting to make it a trio. I would like to add a blue spot in the mix but don't know if they are compatible for breeding. I have searched the web but with no luck. Any one have any advice.

One bit of advice:
Never change a winning team!
If your pair is breeding, be happy with that.
If you introduce another female things could go very wrong.
I had 2 female timor in one cage that tried to kill eachother.
Also the bond between your old pair can change and you end up with no breeding at all.
Other than that I don't see a reason why different locales can't breed together, it has worked with many other reptiles/monitors.

Thanks for the advice I will take it into concideration. Do you know what I would produce with a pair of seprate locales. I am happy with my timors but would like to produce blue spots. I can get my hands on a blue spot female but have only found adult normal males.

Blue spot timors are recognized as a separate species from V.timorensis, V.auffenbergi. You could probably hybridize them but, I can't think of a good reason to do so. It is kind like crossing Red and yellow ackies in that it will only make a mess of things and the offspring won't look as good as "pure" specimens. I would always prefer a working pair to a trio. I have never had a trio work out as well as a pair.

Cheers,

Steve
