A question about an egg!

snakemansnakes Mar 12, 2009 10:08 AM

Back on the 3rd I had a clutch dropped of 7 eggs. When the female was removed cleaned and put back I candled the eggs for veins, 6 of the 7 had large pronounced veins but there was one that just had the slightest hint of veins. Now I can tell now this egg is not fertile because It has a large green spot on it and it makes the egg box stink whenever I open it. The question is can I do anything for this? Will it spread if left in the clump or should I take and measures to try and remove this dead egg?

if you can safely remove the egg without tearing others, do so. try rolling the eggs apart from each other, as opposed to just tearing the bad one off. be gentle and careful.
