Where did this super red line come from originally? If you are in calif i know that Lloyd Lemke was working with a very high red normals before he passed. Not sure who ended up with those high red floridana but i was wondering if this red line originally came from his stock?

Boneyard Mar 12, 2009 10:13 PM

This is the story that was told to me...or at least how I recall it

This flame line originated from a high red animal that was caught by Art Bass in The Tampa area and sold to Chris McQuade and another high red animal that was collected from Miami/Dade county by someone who's name I can't recall but was sold to Bill Love. These animals were purchased by Bob Fengya many many years ago(the person who started this line). Tom Agosta bought animals from Fengya. I got mine from Tom Agosta. All of my flames are from this line. If anyone knows of a different line I would be very interested in knowing about them!

Karl love the head markings on the Mex Mex & the B&W Cal. Is the B&W from somewhere local? All in all great collection of Kings.

Thanks!
The B&W is the sibling to the high white in the first pic.
I have a female I caught in Anza that looks close to the one in that pic but with less bands. I'll try to get a pic up of her for ya.

Here's a pic of a WC San Bernardino from '07

That's the one I was thinking of. I remember you sharing pics of that King w/ me a while back. Anxious to see the pic of the Anza King. Also anxious to get back out to that area.

I love that Hi-white Cal King. It looks great even in the blue. And that B&W is outta this world. I've never seen one like it!

It's nice to see these pictorials in between all the bickering...
