Hi all, I am back. In June I came here b/c I had trouble with my savannah monitor Jango. He was only about 10 inches with his tail (his body at about 7 inches and he was about 10 months). I was told to upgrade to a new tank (I got him a 40 gallon breeder in June) I got him another light fixture, a very large rock dish, a new habba hide and a new diet. I started feeding him pre-killed mice every other day and I have been doing so since June. I feed him a live one once and a while and the live ones are about 3-4 inches long and he can eat them in just seconds! Since June he has grown about 6 and a half inches overall! He is now about 16 1/2 inches long with his tail. His body alone is about 11 inches. He has been shedding about once every few weeks. He likes to soak up in his bowl once a day as well. I have some questions. How do you think he is doing now at a little over a year old? How big do you think he'll get by next summer? I am grateful for anything you have to tell me on his status. Also, I forgot to mention, his tail is looking the biggest it ever has been. Its very meaty and is very large and thick. Good signs right?
