It looks like a tiger with a very broad stripe to me. Nice animal!!

Jon R Mar 14, 2009 10:57 AM

I love how the stripe goes through to the tip tail. That isn't very common,, most of the time it stops at the vent.

thank you so much...

in germany it is very difficult to find awesome hoggies.
So if you are sure that it is a "tiger" i will put it under this name on my homepage. What what about the stripe?

Yes, it it seems to have all the traits of a tiger.

As far as the stripe goes, all tigers have them. Take a look and you'll see. Most of them are a very thin, faint stripe, but it always causes them to have the bands broken in the middle(hence the tiger striped look down the sides, instead of the just a band all the way over the top.)I believe the twin spots and the tigers are all in the same line. The tigers are just an extreme form with the dorsal blotches connecting down to the ventral blotches. They both have that same stripe that breaks the dorsal pattern in two. The stripe usually starts out orange in color, but fades out to the background color as the snake matures.

Hey Kevin...

here are some more photos...

this hoggie is the only one from a clutch of 8 eggs that looks so. He hatched out from a wildcolor X wildcolor breeding....

From what I understand the tiger look is begining to pop up everywhere and it's genetics are not fully understood. Maybe someone know otherwise. I like reverse stripe especially since you want to keep it seperate from the some of the other lines to avoid confusion. I would also wait to see if it is reproducable to really think about naming it but thinking ahead is not a bad idea either. Do you have pics of the parents and clutchmates?

Jon R Mar 17, 2009 11:06 AM

Then call it an "Extreme Tiger"!! LOL..

charleshanklin Mar 17, 2009 11:18 AM

HAHA Too funny Jon!
