worried..

Well, I really lucked out with my new baby. He takes f/t mice like no body's buisness, but I'm kind of surprised he doesnt strike or constrict them. He just casually comes in and scoops them up. Anyone else's do that? My real question is he's going on his 3rd week and 6 fuzzies later and still no "poop". Is this normal? How long can they hold out.. my hubby suggested some exlax, but i dont think Herman would like that. Any advice would be great.

do NOT give a snake human medication ever (except for a rare antibiotic)
it could kill the snake
Snakes only poop every 3-4 weeks or so

Mine eats every other week one medium rat, he craps about every four weeks. Mine has never constricted or struck at dead prey.

I wanted to start mine on rats, i hear they are so much better nutritionally and they will eventually outgrow mice, so its better to start them young. The breeder I bought him from was feeding small adult mice, but they seem so big. what size could he possibly take? rat pinkies?? i have to feed him tomorrow, (you will think i'm crazy) but hes pacing in his usuall feed me style, and will settle down once he eats. so if someone could give me some advice on this as well. hes a large hatchling, i guess.
