How often do you clean your cages with cleaners?

I am thinking this may very on your bedding as well, because I know a lot of people that use aspin, coco nut, mulch, news paper, ect... and spot clean but I was just wondering do most breeder run through with cleaners quarterly, weekly, monthly or what?

Hey,

I use newspaper and clean every time there is a defecation or urine. I also clean the tub out with Virosan (Nolvasan) this is a terrific disinfectant (bactericide and virucide) all purpose cleaner to clean out the tubs when I replace the paper. I have talked to big breeders that use mulch type substrates and they spot clean and then replace the entire substrate monthly.

Hope that helps,
Bill

I use Aspen, I spot clean as needed. I was using a weak bleach solution, but Am switching to chlorhexadine when my bottle is empty. I change the whole thing and clean monthly, unless i have a bloody feeding.
