My favorite boas

DarkFaery8 Mar 14, 2009 07:53 PM

I took pics of my two favorite boas yesterday. Divinia was looking red! It's amazing! When I first got her, she was grey with a slight pink pigment, but she has just gotten more colorful over the last two years. She even has some pink on her tummy! Of course, the flash washed out the color on a lot of the pics, but here's some decent ones. I'd love to see how her genes get passed on, but I don't know if there will be a good market for hets so I'm not sure if I'll breed her or not.

This is my male albino, Azrael. The person who sold him to me didn't label him as a coral, but he sure looks like one to me! He has a pink flush, especially on his head, that barely shows up in the pics (stupid flash!). I can't wait until he gets a little bigger!

Both of these guys have great personalities! They have never shown any aggression and don't mind being handled at all. Let me know what you think!

Thanks,
Jessica

I don't believe you should even hesitate to breed those two gorgeous Boas together.
The color between the two will be impressive in the babies I'm sure.

In my opinion, and this is just my opinion. There is still little in the boa world that rivals the beauty of a real nice red coral albino. I would without question breed those 2 animals together. Dont let the market completely control you. Breed for what you like and what you want to see. There will always be a market for the best animals no matter what the morph or local may be. Like I said this is just my opinion.

They are both beautiful! The albino is a real looker. I think you should breed them too...post pictures of the parents when you get babies and I am sure folks would want hets!
Best wishes.

Thanks for the compliments, everyone! I'm really happy and surprised at how they've colored up! I was just debating breeding them because I don't want to not be able to sell the babies and end up with a lot of the offspring, as my snakes are primarily pets so I wouldn't have the time to spend with all of them. But it seems like there would be some interest. Thanks again!
