Can anyone help or shed some light on the Burgundy Ball issue, Is this coloration due to a specific regionarea? Has it been proven to be genetic? Any other theory's?

There are a few people who have "Burgundy" balls, but there is only 1 breeder that has been able to prove this gene Genetic as a Simple Recessive trait, and that breeder would be Vin Russo.
He produced the first Captive born burgundies last year and they look pretty darn good!!!

Here is a Burgundy type I had the privilage of owning a few years ago.

Here he is with a normal for comparison....

Hope this helps.

I'm hoping to prove out my Burgundy next season.
Here's a pic of my female on 9 fertile eggs (they all
hatched!).
I do know that Ralph Davis proved out his line to be
simple recessive this year.
