Alabama syspila New Pic

milksandbeer Mar 15, 2009 08:00 PM

Took advantage of decent weather today to get a better photo of the Winston County, AL syspila that I flipped last year.
This guy is about 23 inches now and is still pretty clean.

I like those bright orange-red blotches and the thick black borders make the red that much better. That snake rocks.
Scott whats the weather like down there?

Thanks Doug. After a fairly cool Winter, things are finally warming up around here with upper 60's - low 70's etc.
I've already seen Garters, Racers, and a Common King (nigra).
Milk snake season is just around the corner!

Is Alabama a road cut or a ac place? I would guess you have some cool old farms there for ac. Keep those pics coming Scott.I love seing locality milks in the wild.

Great looking syspila Scott, and really nice photo too. I bet that syspila holds it's colors and stays nice looking.
Nice find.

Thanks Dell. That is my favorite Milk I've ever found here.
Not all the Reds from that area are as nice as that one.

You're killing me Scott... I have my heart set on some springtime flippin' in MS but AL is so much closer!! Plus I could shoot over to the NC foothills and maybe snag one of those intergrades as a comparison. Though you're right... looking is the 'easy' part. Haven't quite tweaked the elevation zones either.

That is one of the nicest milks -- hands down -- I've ever seen! Thanks for an updated pic... this one my have to be my desktop wallpaper for a bit if you have no complaints!?!
